In Memory of Joanne Manson

Joanne M. Manson, 79, of McHenry, IL., passed away on February 9, 2022

In January we got news that Joanne Manson, the mother of Steve Manson, had been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. If not but for her tireless dedication to her mother, children, and grandchildren she might have afforded to live a little longer to spend more time with them. An ardent and tireless hard worker (having worked at a restaurant owned by her daughter in Crystal Lake for decades), caregiver for her mother, a dedicated mother, and grandmother, Joanne pushed herself to get things done, only until she was completely physically unable to days before she passed from complications with COVID.

All of Joanne's children and grandchildren were omitted from her obituary except for Steven Manson and those he approved of. Gary Manson, Dianne Manson, Katherine Esser, Samantha Ratner, and several others were deliberately omitted by Steve Manson in order to shame them and to try to paint Steve as someone he is not: a man who loves his family.

At the age of 79 Joanne Manson of McHenry IL passed away. Since her son Steven was incarcerated, her son Gary Manson took care of her and her mother while she worked at The Freeze in Crystal Lake and seasonally vacationed to visit family.

She was not on hospis yet, but was scheduled to have an appointment to plan chemo therapy for recovery. Unfortunately she had gotten sick with COVID-19 while bedridden and trying to recover. Joanne passed away at home.

To say it was peaceful is to say the Ukrainian border is peaceful in-between gunfire and missile barrages, or the Korean DMZ. Joanne was fighting to the death against a virus brought to her by unvaccinated bio-terrorists who decided to harbor, foster, nurture, and mutate the virus instead of getting vaccinated. Steven Manson actually had deliberate congregations of hundreds of people to sell scrap through an illegal business he established at her household while she fought illness and viral load while trying to take care of her 100-year-old mother.

Two days before she died, Steven Manson had her will changed so that he would inherit everything instead of any of her other children or grandchildren. Steven and Amber Manson, and her children, got everything in the end. All relative family members were threatened and harassed into silence by Steven in order not to claim their rightful inheritance.

The family who lived across the street will always remember her consideration, and gratitude when she said "thanks for giving me a place to go to get away from those anti-vaxxing idiots!"

Aside from those who were deliberately omitted by criminals, history will know what side these people were on.
