RE: Steven L. Manson R51751 Media Campaign

I am writing to you in hopes of getting a statement from you regarding the above captioned inmate. I was given a packet of information regarding the medical neglect, and mental abuse that Mr. Manson is allegedly being subjected to. I have an opportunity to follow up on this information to see where it leads - is this going to be "the story"? Only a thorough investigation will tell. Said investigation begins with you. Do you have a statement regarding the abuse, and/or neglect that Steve is being subjected to? He has been unable to effectively use his legs for quite some time and was given crutches in hopes of aiding him move, yet when Mr. Manson arrived at Menard his use of the crutches was denied and they were confiscated and he claims he was forced to crawl around on the floor. He was assigned a "bottom-bunk" pass due to physical problems with his back, and then placed in a cell with a roommate who has a "bottom-bunk" pass. This left Steven's necessary "bottom-bunk" assignment irrelevant. He was forced to take his "plastic mattress and attempt to sleep on the floor, which left him screaming in agony instead.

Despite Mr. Manson’s thorough testimony of alleged human rights abuse, I have elected for our team to provide you the benefit of the doubt to offer a statement in your own words as to the nature of Mr. Manson’s predicament. Mr. Manson is a prisoner who has admitted his guilt for the initial social mistake in the crime which led to his incarceration, and has had no illusion of comfortable living standards. But as a human being in captivity, one expects a certain level of civility and human decency be extended to a person, regardless of criminal offense. We will be submitting a report of our findings to be published to several media outlets, as well as our social media pages. I will not be disclosing the outlets to avoid conflict with their service as a third party, the goal of this research is to provide an honest representation as to the actual living conditions of a prisoner at Menard CC to the public. Please let me know if you are willing to offer a supplementary statement regarding the treatment and alleged mistreatment of disabled inmates and particularly Steven L. Manson and whether you would request anonymity in the published statement.

O R D E R

While he was an inmate at Western Illinois Correctional Center, Steve Manson

mailed to the United States Attorney’s Office copies of more than 400 pages of grievances

he had filed within the prison system. The Office put them in a box and sent them

to the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois, which treated them

as a complaint. This irregular way to commence a suit—it lacked both a plaintiff and a

defendant—has led to a sprawling mess whose resolution Manson contests on appeal.

A district judge directed Manson to replace the box with a complaint, and Manson

did so, though the complaint was scarcely less extensive than the contents of the

box. Manson proceeded as if one suit could resolve every complaint that he had ever

had against anyone at the prison. Yet he never named anyone as a defendant, though

the body of the complaint mentions at least ten persons. Before the district judge could

screen this complaint under 28 U.S.C. §1915A, Manson filed another. The district court

looked to that as the operative filing and dismissed it without authorizing service of

process on the defendant—which remains identified as the prison itself, though Manson

has never provided any reason for thinking that the prison, as an institution, could be

liable under the criteria of Monell v. New York City Department of Social Services, 436 U.S.

658 (1978), or even that the prison is a juridical entity capable of being sued. A prison is

a building, not a distinct component of Illinois or any state agency. The Illinois Department

of Corrections would be a more plausible defendant (though Monell might entitle

it to prevail), but Manson has never sought relief against the Department.

Manson’s appellate brief mentions multiple grievances. He says that one health

attendant smashed his hearing aids, that a supervisor overcharged him for copies of records

and threatened to withhold all records in the future, that a nurse refused to allow

him to see a physician, that a mailroom supervisor stole some of his mail and impeded

communication with his family, that another employee denied him accommodations for

his disabilities and refused to allow him to take a shower for some period, and that the

Warden and Assistant Warden did not solve these problems when he asked. The complaint

itself names some additional persons and grievances.

It is evident from even this quick recitation that these contentions do not belong

in a single complaint and should not have been handled by the district court as one lawsuit.

A plaintiff may join as many claims as he has against a single defendant, Fed. R.

Civ. P. 18(a), but may join multiple defendants in a suit only if all of the defendants

could be liable on a single claim, Fed. R. Civ. P. 20(a)(2). Manson may have the makings

of several suits against several persons (or groups of persons), but he cannot turn 400

pages of internal grievances into an omnibus suit. See, e.g., Wheeler v. Wexford Health

Sources, Inc., 689 F.3d 680, 683 (7th Cir. 2012) (“A litigant cannot throw all of his grievances,

against dozens of different parties, into one stewpot.”); George v. Smith, 507 F.3d

605, 607 (7th Cir. 2007). Prisoners may not know how to separate their claims, but a district

judge should enforce the limits on joinder. Judges have discretion in determining

whether claims and parties are related for the purpose of joinder, and in solving misjoinder,

but the district court’s orders in this suit do not show us that the judge appreciated

the problem or undertook to address it.

Plaintiffs who try to use one suit to handle a boxful of grievances cause multiple

problems. One is that a sprawling suit can be hard to evaluate, a difficulty that has

cropped up here. The district court’s screening order does not mention several of the

claims or theories that we see in Manson’s complaint and brief—and we are not confident

that we have found all of them ourselves. Instead of remanding with instructions

to write a more comprehensive screening order, it seems better to remand with instructions

to break this complaint down into components consistent with Rules 18 and 20.

They will be easier to address, with reduced chance of error by omission.

A second problem is that §1915A(a) requires the district judge to screen the complaint

“as soon as practicable” after its filing. We remarked in Wheeler that complex

complaints cannot be screened in a timely fashion. We have no idea what a district

judge is supposed to do with 400 pages of intra-prison grievances, even if the clerk’s office

decides to treat a ream of assorted papers as a complaint. Far better to dismiss such

a “complaint” instantly and invite the prisoner to file documents that satisfy the Rules

of Civil Procedure and name natural persons rather than buildings as defendants.

Still a third problem is that statutes and rules of court call for a filing fee to be

paid for each case. Prisoners may seek to consolidate their grievances in order to avoid

those fees (which must be collected from their prison trust accounts), but judges should

not be complicit in avoiding Acts of Congress. The Prison Litigation Reform Act also

limits to three the number of frivolous suits or appeals that a prisoner may pursue without

prepaying the required fees. 28 U.S.C. §1915(g). This statute, too, should not be

skirted by lumping multiple suits together. George stressed both of these points.

The judgment is vacated, and the case is remanded with instructions to proceed

as appropriate under Rules 18, 20, and 21.

MY TRUE STORY AT MENARD CC TO DATE.

The night mare from hell started on November 7, 2018.  I arrived at Menard CC transferred from Lawrence CC for writing a prea Grievance on a staff member for sexual harassment.  See a folk that’s what IDOC staff does when an inmate files anything on staff breaking any kind of rule, they transfer you, or put you in segregation until they break you.  So when I arrived I got of the boss hand cuffed in the front I had been on crutches for about two years due to a disease called crepitus in my right knee, and IDOC and Wexford Health Care refused to treat and fix my knee so I was given crutches and a cane indefinitely.  I was made to walk hand cuffed with only one crutch to a building that had three nurses and before we all seen the nurses I was stripped searched in front of 7 to 10 male staff members and the one brought tooth paste, toothbrush, soap, book, pen, paper, envelopes, well a white shirt took my items and never game them back.  After the strip search I seen the three nurses but I only talked to one of them.  She asked me if I was on any medication, I told her yes and that was it I was told to go and sit down.  Then I was made to walk to health care to talk to mental health.  They asked a few questions, they ask if you're going to hurt yourself or anyone else and a couple other questions.  And then she asked if I was vulnerable, I said yes very.  I said for one thing I'm 100% deaf in my left ear and about 70/80% deaf in my right ear.  I said I have also been on crutches for over 2 years and cannot walk without them.  Also I will only tell the judge and jury about why I cannot be in a cell with a black man or really it is not safe with any inmate for that matter.  I did of course tell her why and about what happened at night or when I'm sleeping with the nightmares.  She told me don't worry about it and that she would take care of it, which turned out to be a great big fat lie.  Then she asked me if I had any inmates at Menards CC that wanted to hurt me and I said Yes there could be a lot but I know at least 7 inmates that are over here for sure and she told me not to worry that she would take care of it and as of 4-0-19, I have not talked to anyone.  She had told me internal affairs would come and talk to me?  Also I told her I needed a bottom bunk and lower gallery permit and that's when a red haired woman was called, she had glasses and long red hair and as mean as a rattle snake.  She started talking crazy; she said that I could not have crutches at Menard CC and that my medical file from Lawrence CC did not show up, that they had not sent it.  I have been transferred from Big Muddy River CC were when I left I had three medical files.  I went from Big Muddy River to Danville CC to Shawnee CC to Lawrence CC and all three medical files always followed me with no problems.  That goes to show you do not file any grievances on staff at Lawrence CC, or any IDOC prison.  Well this red haired woman on the night of November 7, 2018, she refused to give me her name, which is a rule at any IDOC facility, that when asked they have to give you their name, however very few employees of IDOC follow any rules.  Well she told me she would give me a Lay-in until my medial files showed up or I seen a Menards doctor.  Of course she lied.  A Lay-in is so you never have to leave your cell and if you do they will bring you a wheelchair.  So that was that and I was made to walk to east house up this high hill using only one crutch because I was hand cuffed with only one set of hand cuffs nice guys right?  Try it; it's not easy, and that having a pinched nerve and three herniated discs in my lower back as well, a disc disease as well.  By the time I made it to my cell I was in such excruciating pain it was a nightmare, only to get a lot worse, please remember I had not walked without a set of crutches for around two years, then I get to my new cell east house 2-6 and whose in the cell already a 6 foot plus 350 lb. black man with a bottom bunk permit.  I said to the inmate, let me see your bottom bunk permit, so he showed me I showed the CO, the CO said day shift would fix it or I could to segregation for refusing housing and disobeying a direct order.  I knew it would never get fixed, but I did not want to go to segregation.  See that's what they do - they threaten you with segregation, it is so you do anything they want you to do, even when they're wrong like in my case.  So i went in the cell and made my bed on the floor.  Every day I asked major Westfall if he found me a cell with a bottom bunk and he always said he is working on it, but it never happened.  I also asked him about my property every day.  I went without anything until on 11-16-18.  CO Edwards called property and made them bring me my property.  10 days without anyway to wash up, also I could not take a shower because I could not walk up stairs to this day I still have not taken a shower and Major Westfall knew as well as Warden Lawrence and they do not care.  Also on 11-16-18, the day they brought me my property there was an item I could not have, it was my hot pot.  You cannot have a hot pot at Menard CC, a hot pot is kind of like an old school coffee pot you put it in and the water gets hot enough to have a cup of coffee or tea.  So the officer said “what do you want to do with this item”.  I said send it home, well that made him really mad because staff members do not like to work they all like to sit on their ass and do nothing.  So I had to sign a money voucher so I could mail it home. Here’s the bad part – the property officer or the mailroom make you sign a money voucher without knowing how much they’re going to charge you.  A money voucher is a permission slip for the prison to take your money and mail your item.  I found out later I was charged $18.90 to send my 2 pound hot pot from Menard CC to a town right outside of Springfield, IL called Dawson.  Here’s the thing, for $18.90 you could have put me in a box and mailed me, it would have been cheaper.  So it’s 11-17-18 and from 11-7-2018 until 11-22-18 east house was on a lockdown and the meals came to us, so I never had to ask for a wheel chair to go to BFI to get a new ID and as well as clothing.  On 11-21-18 I got a wheel chair to go to health care, I was seen by Lindsey, she is the nurse practitioner and at that time she told me one out of three medical files had showed up from Lawrence CC.  It took Lawrence CC 14 days to send only one of my three medical files to Menard CC and Lindsey told me it was empty only a couple things in there.  Lindsey ordered x-rays of my left side of my head because I have had suffered serious head trauma, my whole back and my right knee.  This way I could prove I needed a wheel chair because they did not allow crutches here.  She also ordered blood work, she also ordered me a diet tray, which I still have not received, and she gave me a lower bunk permit and lower gallery B permit because of my weight only until we get the results back from the x-rays and blood work, she also gave me a feed in my cell permit, so I would not have to go to chow hall, which was good because the next day we got off lockdown on 11-22-18, also physical therapy.  Well that I did not go to because I had no way to get there.  They refused to give me crutches or a wheelchair to go which physical therapy needs to be done once they treat my injury, not before, no common sense there, so its now Nov. 25, 2018 the CO comes and tells me I have a visit, I said ok can you get me a wheel chair, he said he would go check, well two sergeants come and tell me they are not going to give ma a wheel chair I had to walk they said it was o order from major westfall.  Well here is the thing, staff had given me a wheelchair to go to BFI, clothing, healthcare, when orange crush came to check our cells for weapons, and drugs, etc., they gave me a wheel chair two days after orange crush came, we got shook down again after an inmate stabbed his own celly for being a child rapist, we got shook down again and they gave me a wheel-chair and on 11-26-18 when they took me to segregation one day after my visit they gave me a wheel chair to go to healthcare and then segregation, here’s the thing.  Nothing in Menard is set up for anyone in a wheelchair, even though you know years ago every state building IL was given money to update their buildings, sidewalks, with ramps, etc. this prison and its warden spend the money on something else, perhaps a new car? Who knows?  So I had to walk, so I did, so it’s so pathetic the person they call a doctor his name is mr. Siddique “facility medical director” the nurse practitioner her name is Lindsey and the director of nurses is Angela Crain, and the three of them are the worst liars of all time and I will prove that.  One example real quick is this, the day of my visit 11-25-18, Mr. Westfall they call him a major but he does not deserve the title, he refused to give me a wheel chair so I had to walk, see I had gotten a letter from my 79 year old mother telling me she was bringing my 97 year old grandmother to see me and it would be the only visit I would get because it is a 7 to 9 hour drive, also my mother has had both her hips replaced in the last two years and she may have to have her shoulders replaced as well and other health reasons, it was just too much and too expensive, also my grandmother is 97 years old, legally blind, in a wheel chair, she has arthritis in her whole body, which has gotten so bad that she needs help for dressing, bathroom, and eating.  I don’t get out of prison until May of 2021.  It was made clear that this might be the last time I get to see my grandma or mother alive.  So of course when I was told I had a visit I went.  I don’t know about anyone else but I would walk over broken glass barefooted to see my mother and grandmother.  However I took a tube of muscle rub it’s like bengay, I rubbed it on my right knee, back and neck, then I took two ace bandages and wrapped them so tight around my knee and I was ready – thank god for the officer he held my right arm and back and walked me all the way to the visiting room, what would be a three minute walk for most people took me 20 to 30 minutes, it was baby steps all the way with brakes to stop and catch my breath.  I was in excruciating pain – please remember that was the first time in two years that I was forced to walk without crutches.  Well we got outside of the visiting room and there is about eight stairs or so.  The railings on the stairs are ready to fall off, they are not safe, nor are the stairs, I have written to Osha for paperwork so I can file a formal complaint.  OSHA is the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, anyway I sat on the bottom step and went up the stairs backwards on my butt so the health care staff I listed above for them to say and write down in my medical file that I had no problems going to my visit is the “biggest lie ever” but that’s what IDOC employees do best.  So later that night as I lay on the floor I was watching a mouse eat some crumbs on the floor when a cock-roach the size of a hamster walked toward the mouse and mouse looked up and took off running.   So with everything going on, I said I had enough.  I could not sleep on the floor anymore; I was going to refuse housing the next day.  I just could not sleep on the floor any more.  The only good thing was the cockroach Kept the mice out of the cell and they were too big to fit in your nose or ears, or mouth; well, that’s another story.  So one day after my visit on 11-26-18 the staff called, it was either Gym or Yard line, I’m very hard of hearing, and have been waiting almost two years to see an outside hearing-doctor for a hearing aid, I told 3 different prisons I would even pay for it, but they don’t care, anyway, my celly opened the cell door and put my property outside my cell. at that time I sat down because I’m in so much pain, it’s very hard to stand very long, so now I’m waiting for the officer so here comes the officer, and he said ‘what are you doing’, I said “I refuse to sleep on that floor anymore!  I need a cell with a bottom bunk.”  The officer said “ok, go back in your cell and I will find one”, I said “yeah, ok, just like the last 20 days, right?  I’m not going back in there”.  Well, about that time a crazy man started freaking out like a child, later to find out it was Major West-Fall and he said ‘take him to the segregation, so the sergeant said “get up and go to that holding cell”, I said “you know I don’t walk anywhere without my crutches which healthcare took from me for no reason” and just think, I had to sleep on the floor for 20 days, then 3 months, in segregation to get my crutches back.  Anyway, major westfall said ‘drag the song of a bitch”, I thought ‘oh, boy, I’ve seen officers drag and hurt inmates for no reason so I’m thinking this is not going to be good for me”.  So I laid, down on the floor, I put my hands up in the air, and two officers put two sets of handcuffs on me, grabbed my arms, and dragged me about 100 to 150 feet, slamming my head on concrete that hurt, they almost knocked me out.  That was not a fun ride; however, at least they did not kick me or brake any bones, at least, not yet.  A half hour later, my westfall comes and says “I got great news, I found you a cell and a bottom bunk, all’s you got to do is go to healthcare and talk to the nurse and the mental health people, tell them everything, then you get your new cell”.  I said “ok, can you get me my crutches or a wheel chair”.  Major westfall said “no, you’re going to have to walk”, I said “well, I can’t”, he said “fine, you’re going to segregation you son of a bitch!” and then he tells an officer to take the two pairs of handcuffs off and put my hands behind my back and puts only one pair of handcuffs on me, super-super tight, and guess what!  The officer goes and gets a wheelchair to take me to healthcare and then to segregation!  All because I had a permit for a bottom bunk and I had been on crutches for two years, and I proved these things, but staff here did not care.  I just could not sleep on the floor any more, it was so cold they have not one time since I have been here turned on any kind of heater, and all the bugs, spiders, mice, and the biggest cockroaches in the world, hands down, you know two other doctors and nurse practitioners had given me.  Yet some women that is just a nurse had the power to take away my crutches, permits, and five medications away from me.  20 days sleeping on the floor, 3 months in segregation, and got everything back as of 3-13-18 – except my 5 medications!  I’m sick of asking for them, I filed two grievances and all’s they do is lie, lie, and then lie some more and I can prove it, it’s called ‘cover up for staff that break any rule they want because they never get in trouble”!  It’s so pathetic!  Anyway, now they have me standing in a holding cell that doubles as a shower with rust and ,old everywhere, nasty.  I’m in here waiting to get strip searched so they can put me in my new cell in segregation, well I was strip searched and put in cell 2-40, building was N2, they called it.

And yet another nightmare starts.  I walk in the cell, it was real dark.  I could not find the light switch, I heard the water running; it sounded like it was hitting the floor.  The floor had water on it!  Finally I found the light switch at the very back of the cell, the light comes on: “oh my Lord Please help me”, I thought.  This was not good.  I look up and the light was wide as the cell, about 4 feet.  It was in the corner of the wall and ceiling and behind it running down the wall and dripping on the toilet

Below human waste so gross, some green and black mold, rust everywhere there was card board soaking wet that stinks and bugs living in it behind the toilet between the toilet and the wall like a gasket or seal.  It was so gross; it would make a billy goat sick.  The hot water button on the sink was stuck on and the water was flowing onto the floor.  Now after three days and nights of asking all staff that walked by my cell 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts to stop my water, the 3rd night I had about 2 inches of more water on my floor and it started running out my cell door.  A 3rd shift officer came to the door screaming at me for all the water out on the floor - I showed him the sink, he went and pushed the hot water valve in so it stopped running, he came and told me not to use it, he would put a work order in.  I said ok, that was on 11-29-18, until the day i was (page 20) forced to move upstairs to 6-gallery cell 51, I had no hot water and remember, no shower either, because they refused to get me my crutches or my wheel chair, when I was forced to 6 gallery, I had a lower b Gallery permit, which means I stay on the first floor, but sgt. Lidenburg did not care, him and his co-workers did get me a wheelchair and I did go to the elevator, but when I got out there were several stairs to go down instead of tilting the wheel chair back and getting me down the stairs or one out of the four, could have got in front of the wheel chair and they could have picked me up, instead two officers pulled me out of the wheel chair and dragged me down the stairs, and folks I will be more than happy to take a polygraph test, I will even pay for it.  It has been since Nov 7 2018 to present, I was moved to 6-Gallery on (page 21) 2-16-19.  Well finally after 6 days the water went away also I had no toilet paper for 2 1/2 days after asking every staff member that walked by all day and night long, I was forced to use magazines that the last inmate in that cell left there.  Thank God.  However I had no soap of any kind so nasty so gross.   It took 6 days to finally get 2 sheets, 1 blanket and 1 pillow case and my coat up until then I froze my butt off.  It took a total of 15 days to get soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, books, etc. I can tell you folks that is all human torture and no one deserves any of those things.  Stay with me there's a lot more.  So the night I went to segregation - 11-26-18 - that night I got my ticket - see major westfall would be breaking all kinds of rules, laws, you could say if he wrote me a ticket for refusing housing, because I did not (page22) want to sleep on the floor after 20 days when I had a bottom bunk permit, so he had his co-worker write me a bullshit ticket that was not true whatsoever, the ticket they wrote was this - "disobeying a direct order essential to safety and security and a ticket for insolence, both charges are lies, 100% lies - so pathetic when an inmate gets a ticket he gets a chance to defend himself in front of what they call an adjustment committee, which is two staff members of the prison, well it's a joke, see you can have all the proof, evidence in the world and they will still find you guilty.  well an officer came to my cell on Dec. 4th, 2018 and asked me if I wanted to hear my ticket, I said yes, but I need my crutches (page 23) he said no besides they're upstairs, I said I have a lower gallery b permit, when means I don't go upstairs.  I said can you get me my crutches or a wheel chair and take me up in an elevator, he said no.  I said can you please ask them to come down and talk to me and the officer walked away never to come back and here's the thing, the adjustment committee after they were done hearing the tickets, they had to come down the stairs and walk right past my cell, to leave the building.  They ended up giving me 1 month segregation, 1 month c-grade 2 month d-grade and 1 month commissary restriction, and they lied so bad on the ticket it really is pathetic.  For you folks that don't know what segregation is, it's a  jail inside the prison, where you get treated worse than an animal and c-grade is no phone calls and a 30 dollar limit at the (Page24) inmate store and you can on y buy pens, envelope, paper, soap, toothpaste etc. and b-grade is you go on after your time is up on c-grade and it is two phone calls a month and a 30 dollar limit at inmate store on anything you want, and commissary restrictions is 15 dollars a month at inmate store and you can only buy paper, pens, envelopes, soap, toothpaste etc. I got all that because I did not want to sleep on the freezing floor with mice, bugs, spiders, and cockroaches as big as hamsters, it's not funny, it’s scary.  Thanks to Major Westfall and his side-kick Mrs. Lashbrook the old warden, yes she retired, but year my law firm is so still going after her for what she has done, now I'm writing this letter to the new warden a one Frank Lawrence, so we will see what he does, however, it does not look good, I have written several grievances, and to this point he does not care (page 25) however I will let you all know after he has time to read this letter and see what staff has done to me, my hope folks is he gives me a polygraph test, see all IDOC prisons has a polygraph machine at their access anytime.  Let me take the test, it's free, it will not cost the taxpayers of IL a penny and let's suspend or fire these employees that abuse inmates, torture inmates, steal from inmates, you know folks inmates are not the problem, tis' the staff, so far here I have had my Walkman stolen for staff, and you can't just go buy another one 150 to 200 pictures 2 photo albums and a book and I filed a grievance and they don’t care it's called cover up for your co-worker at all cost.  But ladies and gentleman keep watching this web-site because when I go out to go to court all my letter, recent slips, grievances have been turned into yes and no questions (page 26) and I will be taking a polygraph test when I'm at the courthouse and someone will put the results on this site, ok let’s get back to this wonderful prison, ok.  On Nov. 21st 2018 I was called to healthcare to see the nurse practitioner her name was Lindsay, told me my medical file from Lawrence CC showed up, but there was only one out of 3 and it was pretty much empty, however she put me in for x-rays of my knee, back and head and blood work and a diet tray.  I'm telling you this again, because if you look at my medical file, for Nov 21, 21018 its all lies Lindsey made a false paper for my medical file, I have the original, now it’s full of lies, it's almost funny, they even state I had blood work done and that's a huge fat lie.  I finally had lab work done on 3-26-19, not one time before that they lie so bad to (page 27) cover up for the abuse and neglect and the human torture all because they can they never held accountable for anything they do.  Now I'm in segregation and on Dec 4, 6, 11, 13 I had a pass to go to the health care building to get all the x-rays done that the nurse practitioner Lindsey had ordered, however each time c/o "officer white and sargent Lindenburg" refused to get me a wheelchair or my crutches, so I could not go, and I filed a grievance on this problem and of course I never got it back.  Also on 7,13,21,28 I had a pass for in house blood work something the same two white and Lindenburg refused to help me.  Let's all take a polygraph test, I'll do it, I'll pay for it.  O yeah never mind, they will so get caught lying.  Come on boys you won’t even help accountable from IDOC they will cover-up your corruption your neglect, your abuse of inmates, real tough guys, pick on the weak, your families will be so proud of you when they read his on the net with the polygraph test results to back me up.  That’s also when health care lied and said I had blood work done not once but twice they lie so bad it's so pathetic.  So now its 12-14-18 I filed an emergency grievance on that same gray long haired red headed women that took my crutches, now she took five of my medications away from me and to this day I will don't have them - a heart bill, thyroid pill, vitamin d and oyster pill both to make my knee stronger and clareton, I have had these meds for about 2 1/2 years, two other doctors at two prisons gave me these for a nurse to take them from me.  Who runs this prison?  I have been to 4 other prisons and an emergency grievance gets answered in 48 to 72 hours, but not here - at Menard CC because it’s Menard CC its special they do what they (page 29) want when they want, and nobody can tell them different.  Ok for people that don't know what a grievance form is it's an inmate's way to file a complaint.  There's a spot to write what's wrong what happened and then there's a spot on the form called relief requested - that's where the inmate writes down what he would like done about the problem and then there's a spot for the counselor to put their answer then when you get it back you send it to the grievance officer and they answer it then you can send it to the warden and all that is a huge waste of time because they all lie then after all that you send it to director Baldwin's office it's called the administrative review board which is 100% a waste of time however, when you get it to the "answered grievance" back from director Baldwin and his people you then can file a lawsuit against IDOC which is another almost waste of time.  Did you all know who pays for the lawyer for all the IDOC staff members also if an inmate wins you know who pays for all of this - the Illinois taxpayers?  IDOC staff is never going to do the right thing and change they are never help accountable - NEVER.  Who are the real criminals?  At a later time I'll have a grievance form put up so you all can see it.  Folks remember a few things - there's a  lot more to talk about I'm only one inmate out of what does IDOC website say about Menard and how many inmates are here and all them programs they say we have - that's all lies most all IL prison web-sites are lies at least all the prisons I have been to anyway.  Now on 12-27-18 I was due to get out of segregation and go to general population 7;30 a.m two cos came and told me I was getting out of segregation I said can you get me my crutches or a wheelchair and they said they would as a sargent (page 31) Lindenburg well they came back and told me sargent Lindenburg refused to get me my crutches or a wheelchair, At that time I said I can't walk without the crutches, I have had for two years, they left and never came back, later that night I got a ticket for well for well first the officer wrote it for "disobeying a direct order" which is a 313 ticket - no segregation time, so sargent lindenburg told officer Kiefer Badge # 3423 to rewrite the ticket and a ticket that carried segregation time so officer kiefer scratched out my 313 ticket and wrote a 215 ticket which is "disobeying a direct order essential to safety and security"  Now on 12/28/18 the hearing committee heard my ticket without me - no one ever came to my cell to ask me if I wanted to hear my ticket, they lied again on the ticket and said I refused - Liars.  Well remember now this will be the second ticket I get because ole red headed lady that won't tell me her name took my crutches away from me and also made me sleep on the floor for 20 days and took 5 medications from me and has put me through hell since Nov 2, 2018 when I got to this prison, so for my second ticket they gave me

2 months b-grade

And now because the new warden Frank Lawrence signed my ticket on 2/6/19 instead of teh day my ticket was heard, I'm on c-grade until 4-6-19 and b-grade until 9-28-19 - how is that right either?  I wrote to the adjustment committee clinical services department and warden Lawrence asking them to expunge these two tickets I got for no reason, but nobody cares, they would never admit (page 33) a staff member did something wrong.  Now here are some more things that had happened to me while I was in segregation for no reason.   on 1-28-19, I had a pass to see the doctor and I told them I needed my crutches or a wheelchair and a very nice nurse came to my cell and promised me she would make them bring me a wheel chair so I could see the doctor, and what do you know, the officer came and got me in a wheelchair, after two months in segregation, an officer was forced to do his job and I got to tog to the doctor.  Well that was weird, the doctor had no idea what the disease was that I have in my knee so he said he would send me to physical therapy so they could tell him what was wrong with my knee and if i needed my crutches or not, also the doctor gave me a 3month permit for a wheelchair after I told him again what staff was doing to me and thank my lord that the nurse understood what I was saying and she just took over my visit and filled out the permit and told the doctor to sign it, at that time i also signed the paper work for a do not revive order.  I would rather be dead and in heaven than to be tortured like I have been and that's how I felt.  I also wrote a 37 page letter, a little like this one and I know when it goes on social media that Warden Lashbrook and Majro Westfall would try to have me shut up , maybe just beat up and put back in segregation or maybe killed and then I thought what would happen if their work did not work and I ended up a vegetable the rest of my life, my family don't deserve that.  I could never put my family through that.  I love them too much and after dealing with this new warden Frank Lawrence, I'm still scared maybe even more, he don't ever sign the emergency grievances next that shows he really could care (page 35) less what my problem is or what his staff is doing to me.  Now - please remember I just received my permit for a wheel chair on 1-28-19 so the very next day 1-29-19 at 7:15 a.m. I was asked if I wanted to go to the yard for exercise, I said yes, but you have to get me a wheel chair and the officer said I'll go ask sargent lindenbug, and what do you know, he said no, then later that day I was asked if I wanted a shower, I said yes, but you have to get me my wheel chair, no officer ever came back that day, so no yard or shower and remember I have had neither one since nov 7, 2018, when I arrived here at Menard CC  I filed a grievance on that problem and to the date of this letter, I have not got my grievance back?  Now on 1-31-19 an officer Careoway came to my cell, first thing in the morning about 7:30 a.m. and told me I had a pass to go to nurse sick call and physical therapy and wanted to know if I was going, I said yes I'm going but i have a wheel chair permit now, so you'll have to get me a wheel chair, he said ok, well a 1/2 hour or so later, he came back and asked me to show him my permit, so I did and he said ok and that my physical therapy pass was for that afternoon, so he would take me to that and at that time I would also go to nurse sick call, which was a lie, because it never happened.  Now on 2-1-19 sargent lindenberg and officer white refused to let me go to yard, physical therapy and 2nd shift refused to let me shower all because they're so lazy they don't want to give me my crutches I have had for 2 years or the wheel chair the doctor gave me and i showered them my permit.  They all are breaking all kinds of laws and rules of IDOC.  But there never ever held accountable for their actions until they are the abuse and torture will never stop.  Now again on 2-3-19 no yard, no shower, then on 2-4-19 the super nice (page 37) taken away from you, now just think folks, if this happened to your child, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, etc. I only had to sleep on the floor for 20 days and 3 months in segregation to get back what I proved I had for about 2 years at that time.  And please keep in mind I'm only one inmate if it's happening to me?  Now on 2-8-19 I had a call pass to go to health care as soon as I told the CO officer that I not only had a permit for a wheel chair but I now had a permit for crutches, that he could get me either one and goes what he the officer never came back so again I missed another pass to health care that I needed to go to real bad.  Also, on 2-8-19 in the afternoon I again was refused a shower because again they would not get my crutches or wheel chair.  On 2-10-19 I wrote another grievance on the 5 medications I still don't have since nov 25, 2018 and another they refuse (page 39) to help me because they would have to admit that they are wrong to date 4-3-19 I still don't have my 5 medications, so pathetic.  on 2-11-19 Sargent Lindenburg after knowing 'm not supposed to be housed with black men or anyone really he put a black mn in my cell N2 2-40 cell this man was about 6'5" 300 plus and scary he did it to show me he was the boss and I think he did it to try to get me hurt or maybe killed.  Now on 2-12-19 I again was refused a shower on 2-15-19 I again was refused a shower on 2-16-18, I went to healthcare for a hearing test which I failed I have been dealing with this problem for 1 1/2 years.  Anyway when the officer opened my cell door in n2 2-40 the door fell off its track and instead of fixing it, my celly and I were moved to the 6th gallery to cell 6-41 sargent lindenbug moved me up there he stated on a grievance that I wrote about it he said he moved me up there to be closer to the infirmary, which is such a fat lie, he also states in another grievance I filed on him for not getting me my crutches or wheel chair to go to the infirmary he states I refused to go to every pass I had to the infirmary and health care, his statement does not make no sense he is a liar plus there's 4 to 6 stairs from 6 gallery you have to go up to get to the elevator.  That day I got moved to 5 Gallery I came back from health care and when I got out for the elevator I had to go down 4  to 6 stairs and instead of getting my crutches, so I could get down the stairs or just have the two officers that were there to pick me up in the wheel chair and carry me down the stairs or just tilt me backwards and take me right down the stairs, sargent Lindenburg told the two officers  and I quote "drag his fat ass down the stairs", so that's what happened and then I had to be (page 41) pulled out of the wheel chair again to fit to the entrance way to 6-Gallery to help me he is a liar.  Now on 2-17-19 no yard or shower again officer again refused to get me my crutches or a wheel chair.  2-19-19 no shower.  Now on 2-21-19 I along with my very large black celly was moved from N2 6-51 cell upstairs even higher up to N2 8-37 officer Miles 6 Gallery officer along with the 8 gallery officer told me that sargent lindenburg was making me move again, now at this time I only had 5 days left in segregation until I was to get out so this was one more time sargent lindenbug coulg punish me.  I was hand cuffed with one set of hand cuffs make to walk about 100 feet using only one crutch then to walk up about 14 stairs to 8 gallery turn to my new cell and he could have got me a wheel chair and let me take the elevator up to 8 Gallery.  Let me ask you all - is he trying to help me he sargent lindenbug is a liar and should be held accountable.  On 2-23-19 I filed a grievance on a mental health grievance I had filed and got it back in the mail on 2-22-19 and it was full of lies so I filed a new one and put it in the grievance box on 2-24-19 and today the 25th of feb I was called to tall to a man forum internal affairs about my grievance an make a report to him.  I was made to get out of my wheelchair and go up 6-8 stairs and down the same and then a n hour later they the officer came back and got me to talk to a nurse and a woman from mental health and I had to go up and down them same stairs to get to the elevator.  Mental health lady addressed the grievance now and finally told me I was right that someone in the (page 43) office made a mistake.  I almost had a heart attack when she admitted guilt.  She told me I was to see the psych doctor on 2-28-19 and guess what, she lied, I did not see the doctor, I had to write another grievance what a nightmare.  So now on 2-26-19 I finally got out of segregation and guess what sergeant lindenbug did to me, now instead of giving me my crutches and letting me go down to the first floor to the seg property room to get my property, he had the officers cuff me up and walk about 150 to 200 feet using only one crutch until I got to the stairs and then I had to go down 3 flights of stairs 14 to 15 stairs each flight and then when I got to the property room to get my property i found i had 1 Walkman am/FM radio cassette player missing, 1 bob Segar tape, 1 sports Ill swim suit hardcover book and 2 photo albums with 150 pictures of so all missing.  I told the staff in the segregation property room all the stuff was missing all they said is file a grievance here is the thing, I showered them my paper work that I got proving I had all those items when I went to segregation so it was either the two inmate workers that stole my items or staff that works in the segregation property room.  But again they don't care.  They need to be held accountable.  Then I was moved to west house with another black man however, it was only for a couple hours and it was during the day - the internal affairs man that I had talked to listen to me and investigated what happened to me and to date I have been alone in my cell and safe.  I wish I knew his name, he is a good man and I pray for him every day.  I truly believe my god sent him to take care of me.  On 2-28-19 I talked to the ADA, he said he knew nothing about gym, yard, church, or inmate store.  I ask is that not his job taking (page 45) care of all the handicap people at menard cc.  Is it not the warden's job to enforce the staff to do their jobs?  To Today's date which is 4-3-19, I have not been able to go to church, yard, gym or inmate store.  3-1-19, I was refused yard.  On 304019 everyone in west house got to go to the inmate store except me, however I did get to fill out a shopping list and I had to wait two extra days to get my items and if they're out of something I don't get anything.  if I was at the store I could pick my items out.  I'm being punished for being handicapped it just makes no sense.  Also I cannot get 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift staff to get me money vouchers, grievances, visiting lists; instead I have to buy them from inmate workers.  My tax dollars, my family's tax dollars everyone that lives in IL tax dollars pays for these forms but I have to pay for them again.  I wrote a grievance on it and the warden Mr. Frank Lawrence does not care.  Director John Baldwin of IDOC does not care either, I know it's pathetic.  I finally got to see the mental health doctor after waiting since 11-7-2018.  On 3-8-19 is that a long time to wait, I think so, for someone that suffering and needed to talk to an expert and to get on some medication that might help me.  Here is something crazy ok now they tell me (they) the nurse took my crutches from me when I got here right because I could not have them at menard cc because an inmate could take them from me and use them as a weapon.  Here's the thing that's what they also tell me about going to church, yard, gym, and inmate store.  Howefver, on 3-11-19 they put me in a holding cage with my crutches with 15 other inmates we were all waiting to see the doctor and of course I was forced to go last.  On 3-13-19 I was refused my morning call pass (page 47)

Director Baldwin, all newspapers, it’s easy to copy and paste this article and e-mail it to everyone please, e-mail it to the warden, Frank Lawrence, let him know he can’t get away with treating like this, and then the handicapped on top of it!  I will update soon, thank you for any help anyone can give me, and please know there’s 3,000 other inmates here, your fathers, brothers, kids, uncles, and grandfathers.

Hello folks.  This here is an update.  See, is what I did is I wrote again a 51 page letter and I mailed it to someone to make copies for me, see the law library three times refused to make me copies.  Because they read the letter and did not want to get themselves in trouble.  Then the Law Library told me my letter had nothing to do with the court system.  I told them it in fact had everything to do with the lawsuits I would be filing.  Mrs Stewart told me to copy it by hand, she would not help me, in fact she also told me to do that with 13 of the grievances i had filed.  She is good at protecting her co-workers and IDOC as well as WexFord Health care. Anyway, I had five copies made for now and I had them sent to the director of IDOC, Mr John Baldin, the warden of Menard cc Mr Frank Lawrence, the Attorney General, the Governor of IL, and the head of Internal Affairs for Menard cc and a Law Firm in Chicago .  I’m doing this to give folks a chance to do their job they’re paid to do.  I have to wait a couple of weeks, give them time to talk to me.  If not, I’m having this put on the internet, so now you know what is going on here at Menard, cc with me.  Like I said in the last letter, if I do not update this letter once a month, they either killed me, beat me so bad I’m in the hospital, or they put me in the jail inside the prison called ‘segregation’ and I have no way to write to you all, and they refuse to give you a phone call.  If that happens, please don’t forget about me, call here, call everyone, talk about it on all social media, email my entire letter to everyone, please.  You know I’m not the only inmate in this prison.  I’m just saying if it’s happening to me, it could happen to anyone.  And please remember, I did nothing to deserve any of these things they have done to me!  Also I’m willing to not only take a polygraph test, I will be more than happy to pay for it.  Now I’m going to be talking about things that I can 100% prove and things that I can and will pass a polygraph test to.  So this letter might jump around a little bit, and I’m sorry for that.  But here we go.  Most of all things you see on a IDOC prison website are lies.  They want the public (to think) they have all these programs, but it’s 100% a lie!  If they say they have all these programs, they can ask for money from you, the tax payer.  Who’s behind the corruption?  I mean really everyone that works, for IDOC they all know it’s a lie.  But Director John Baldwin and every warden like Mr Frank Lawrence are for sure responsible.  And how does an officer come to work today as a correctional officer and get promoted to counselor and starts work the next day?  How does that work, or even worse perhaps a food supervisor making a ton of money either job.  A person who can not even boil water without burning it, now he or she is in charge of cooking and baking for 3,000 people, and how about the job of a maintenance supervisor!  No wonder there was a bug infested cardboard basket holding my toilet to the wall in N2 2-40 Cell.  The man can’t change a lock at home and now he is in charge of the whole prison!  Oh boy, I’m scared.  Are you all?  No wonder why south house fell down and all the inmates were finally moved, and one worker got killed because it was so dangerous.  Who is held accountable? I have the answer: NO ONE!  That’s not right!  Now let’s say your girlfriend or wife sends you pictures in a nice shot or swimsuit, or bra and panties.  Because women work in the mail room, if there’s a nipple that is hard and you can see it, then send everything back to sender.  I’m not talking about naked pictures, understand that.  The real crazy part is IDOC staff rents movies showing naked women and people having sex.  Men and women, men and men, women and women; but we can’t have a picture or the letter, because a nipple is showing through clothing?  And you cannot have duplicate pictures either.  Someone sent me pictures of my 98 year old grandma, and the mailroom sent them back with the letter that was wrote to me?  I think that was retaliation for writing grievances on the mailroom for overcharging me, and I also filed a complaint with the postmaster general, they’re stealing our money!  I can prove everything, I tell you all.  OK, I received a reply from a letter I wrote to the office of the secretary of state.  I was asking for a copy of the illinois handbook of Government and of course I in turn was denied.  And then whoever cleared over my request was too big of a corrupt coward to leave his or her name so I could file a complaint on them.  See, they don’t want to give me that information because I’m going to send my letter to everyone to see if someone will do their job and help us.  Ok, now I sent 55 receipts of my grievances I had sent to the warden that I have not had answered yet.  Asked him to check into the problem, I wanted to know why all my grievances I wrote were not being answered and returned to me.  So I get a letter in the mail from not Frank Lawrence, our warden, who I sent it to, but a one Anthony Wills.  He is the new acting assistant warden of programs.  Some title, right?  He was the ADA coordinator and he could not do that job, so they made him a warden.  I see the common sense in that.  NOT!.  So here is his response in a nutshell: he tells me I need to keep these receipts for my records and that all grievances are answered in the order they are received.  Now is that not sad or what?  Mr Frank Lawrence, the head warden, has his new assistant warden not only doing his job, but lying for him as well.  So he himself won’t have to lie!  Sounds like a great IL worker to me.  In face, I just today, 4-15-19, I got back in the mail, a grievance I filed on 3-13-19 and I’m still waiting for many grievances I filed in Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb: what a liar!  So I guess they are in fact not answered “in the order they are received”.  Does anyone for IDOC know the truth from a lie?  The answer is “No”!  Ok, next will be…  I had x-rays finally done of my right knee to prove to the people how bad my knee was, and that I needed a knee replacement and in the meantime a knee brace or at the very least the two ace bandages I had when I got to menard cc where the property officer went through my property and he let me have them.  I know for a fact the property officer’s job is to check an inmate’s property and take anything he cannot have.  He knows everything an inmate can’t have, and I went through 8 shakedowns, 3 from orange crush, and 5 from our fine officers here, and they all let me have my two ace bandages, and then along came one Mrs Zimmerman, she is the nurse practitioner and in retaliation for me filing so many grievances on health care for Abuse, Neglect, and Torture, she had an officer come to my cell and take my two ace bandages.  How nice of her, how proud of her are of her.  Well at least her co-workers are.  But anyway, I had the x-rays done on 3-13-19 and I get a letter on 3-20-19 stating this: “the following checked results were found to be normal or next to stable by Siddigui M.D.  Now here is the thing; my knee is not “normal” and since when does an M.D. read x-rays?  This Mr Siddigui, faculty medical director had no idea about the disease crepitus or the treatments for it and so he sent me to a physical therapist.  How does that make sense, that was another time.  My point is he does not know anything about anything, anything I wrote to healthcare over and over and over for answers, I wrote medics records over and over and over to get this so-called report or my entire file, they will not respond.  I wrote and filed grievances on everyone, including the medical director here at menard cc and that person will not respond.  Corruption, that’s all I can say.  And as of today they have done nothing for my knee, no treatments at all, in fact they took my only two medications that were helping away from me vitamin D and the oyster pill.  More retaliation by staff.  Ok, we are going to continue to talk about grievances I have filed and get back.  Now here is the thing, it would take months to copy every grievance I have filed here, so I’m just going to write a little bit about a few that I got back with answers from the warden, Frank Lawrence, counselors, grievance officer, and the administrative review board in springfield IL.  Now I’m going to try to come up with the money to have my web designer scan every grievance and answers I have at present time and put them on the internet.  It will make you sick to see how many people lie and lie and lie, it’s so pathetic, and before we get started, I would like to ask you all a question:  If you ran this prison and an ninmated called you a liar and that you were corrupt and did not know how to run a prison and talked about all your staff and called them liars and thieves and thugs, they physically, emotionally, and mentally torture inmates, just because they can, and get away with it because no one ever holds them accountable for their actions, NEVER.  Now my question is; you have a polygraph machine and a tech, would you not make me take the test to prove I was lying and your staff, all including yourself was telling the truth?  I know I would, it won’t cost you a dime, warden Lawrence, and Director Baldwin.  Come on, step up, show your stuff, you got their back, show the whole world who’s lying.  Come on now, why would you not, you coward.  Ok, let’s move on now that I made my point.  If you yourself were not a liar and a thief and an abuser you would give me the test to prove me wrong.  Just saying, facts are facts, and it looks like mine are right about you and your staff.  Ok, now here is one more place a state of illinois complaint department, it’s called “illinois department and professional regulation”

Hello to all!  I hope you all are having a great day.  Here is an update and something that we have to stop; the prison system in illinois is so corrupt as you all are finding out.  I found a great way to prove several more things.  It’s called the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).  The person in charge is Lisa Weitekamp.  She is the Freedom of Information Officer. 



Her job is to not give you any information she don’t have to.  This woman gets an A+ for hiding the corruption.  Go ahead and write to her, you will see I’m right.  Now it’s very early in my investigation, however here is something you taxpayers are paying for that should upset you: all employees that work in an IDOC prison is entitled to one meal a shift that is prepared for inmates.  Well that does not happen at all now.

For short they call it (OSHA) they received my alleged complaint about workplace hazard and wood and metal railings ready to fall to the ground and a lot more here at menard cc. (OSHA) states: after careful review we have decided not to conduct an inspection because the state of illinois owns the property.  How wrong!  Guess what!  A worker working at menard cc just died a few months ago while working here at menard cc.  State can not investigate state!  Too much corruption, too much covering up anything! Even death!  We need the FBI and the feds! 









Ok, now I’m going to talk about inmate’s way to complain about anything they want, for the most part.  It’s called a Grievance Form.  Now I talked about this before, but we are going to talk about a few things.  I’m not a rich person, I don’t have a lot of money.  However, when I can afford it, I’m going to have the 80+ Grievances I have filed scanned in the computer and have them copied and pasted to this added on the internet so you all can read each one and understand them better.  Also then you can see the stupid answers the warden, counselors, grievance officers, and John Baldwin Review Board which have the final say, tell inmates you will see for yourself.  The excuses they use to deny your grievance.  They have come up with so many rules & inmate has to follow they also make up rules as they go.  The head of internal affairs at Danville cc.  Mr Campbell, he was great at it as well as his sidekick in crime, Mr Gore.  They’re both so pathetic, you will see when I tell you about danvillecc, coming soon, I promise.  Well, unless warden Lawrence has me killed?  It happens, don’t laugh.  Inmates get killed all the time in prison, from staff and inmates of course.  Now my language may go from PG to PG-13 to R when talking about grievances.  When I put these 80-80-100 grievances along with the answers from all the staff on the net, you will understand, perhaps how I feel and how upset a person gets over 8 years.  I have been called a liar, I have been punished in so many ways.  For even writing grievances.  You could have a blue ball in your hand and staff would tell you it was red, and call you a liar, and I’m not joking.  But it’s a whole lot worse than that.  Ok, I’m going to start talking about grievances, I have wrote that I got back.  If you all have any questions please just write me, my life is an open book and anything that happens in here.



Grievance #331-3-19



On 3-13-19 I wrote a grievance and I got it back, signed; the warden.  And he checked no emergency and I will give you counselor’s carter response.  Here is what the grievance was about, to keep it short it was about not being able to go to yard, gym, and inmate store, which since Nov 7th 2018 I have been denied going walking with no crutches or my wheelchair permit.  The counselor Carter’s response is this; answered 4-10-2019



“It states according to the cell house major, which is Major Rethke in westhouse” see how they never give names, I will talk about later, ok, and chief security?  See again, no name?  Counselor Carter that wrote this answer knows who he was talking to corruption cover up for liars.  Inmates on crutches use Level E yard and are permitted to go to the commissary, and it goes on to say “I Steve Manson refused to go to Level E Yard” Liars!  What about commissary?  Any staff member that worked in west house including



Major Rathke say that come and asked me or told me I could go to Level E Yard or commissary and I refused to go is a fucking lying scumbag!  Take a polygraph!  Every fuckin’ staff member over there! You chickenshit liars! 



NEXT GRIEVANCE



On 3-11-19 Grievance # 327-3-19 I wrote the same as the grievance you just read about not being able to go to gym, yard, store.  Counselor Carter answered the grievance on 4-9-19 with the exact same answer, liars. 



NEXT GRIEVANCES



Grievance #329-3-1911 and 325-3-1912.  Then Carter states these two are duplicates.  These grievances I wrote on 3-14-19 and 3-16-19 and they’re about not having my crutches in my cell as well as staff members at Menard cc were told the new uniforms they have there , not to wear name tags or sew their name on there shirt because warden Lawrence and director John Baldwin of IDOC came up with if an inmate cannot identify a staff member before they’re writing a complaint or grievance then the grievance is considered moot.  What dirty dogs!  That’s low even for a state worker.  I have already received a grievance back from Director John Baldwin office of denying my grievance because I did not know the staff member’s name.  Just one more way staff of IDOC will cover up for other staff that hurt inmates.  Here’s what counselor carter said, which is so stupid, he said that IDOC came out with name badges, and they did, right, they’re about the size of a credit card, and he states staff has to wear them somewhere inmates can read them.  Liar! Liar!  SO LYING.  Ok, that would be wrapped around one’s neck?  Or clipped on clothes like a shirt pocket.  Well, two things; it’s typed in small print and ¾ of staff keep theirs, well who knows, because you can’t see it.  And the other ones that want to say they’re following rules, they wear it by their crotch.  Now do I have to tell you how that would play out?  “Hello officer, can you please tell me your name so I can write a grievance on you?”, then the officer “I’m not telling you shit!”  So, now the inmate bends down and gets about 6 inches from a woman’s or man’s crotch to write down their name!  Yeah, good luck with that!  You can get new teeth when you get out of prison, and being we don’t have straws you can have your food blended and drink it like soup.  Anything the state staff can do to protect each other, it makes me sick.  Ok, on to the next page for the next grievances and lies.



 I wrote this grievance on 2-10-19



Grievance # 173-2-19.  This is one of te many grievances I had written about sargent Lindenberg and his officers’ refusal to get me a wheelchair, even though on 1-28-19 I finally recieved a permit for a wheelchair.  And the warden Frank Lawrence states: this is no emergency.  I guess he is a doctor now, and he knows best.  And the counselor, her name J Clendenin, she states she contacted cellhouse sargent and he said I was offered a wheelchair for every pass I had and I refused.  I’m going to make sure he gets fired if it’s the last thing I do!  Do you notice again, the counselor refuse to say the sargent’s name?  How corrupt! How pathetic!  The sargent’s name, again, is Sargent Lindenerg!  Scum dog!  I have not recieved the grievance officer’s report yet, by the time I’m ready to put all 80+ grievances on the net I should have the answers by then.  I can’t wait for the polygraph to prove all these people are liars and they abuse, neglect, and torture inmates.  Because they can. 



Next grievance - Grievance # 388-11-18, I wrote this grievance on 11-25-18, this is one day before I went into segregation for not wanting to sleep on the floor.  I had been doing it for 20 days, remember.  I had what they call feed in cell permit, which meant staff brings me my meals to my cell.  Well, staff members are so lazy they can make the inmate workers bring me my food trays and drink.  The drink is a carton of milk at breakfast and lunch and a juice for dinner.  Well, 9 out of 10 food trays the inmates would take not only my drink but my dessert off my tray.  The warden states this is not an emergency and the counselor, Bradley, he states this is, and I quote “Grievance is moot, offender has been moved to north 2 cell house.” 



I was moved?  I was put into segregation because I had a bottom bunk permit and Major Westfall, after 20 days, still refused to help me!  What a good answer by counselor Tyler Bradley, to protect his corrupt lazy co-workers.  So pathetic.  Next Grievance:



Grievance #382-11-18, date written: 11-23-18.  I wrote this grievance about being made to sleep on the floor when I have a bottom bunk permit.  The warden answered this grievance is not an emergency.  That tells you everything you need to know about how the warden cares about his inmates whose his job is to make sure his staff, like Major Westfall, do their JOB.  And again, this so-smart counselor, Bradley, again states: because I got moved it doesn’t matter any more.  So again, no staff member is held accountable for the torture and abuse and neglect I went through.  Even though I had a bottom bunk permit!  On to the next page…



Next grievance, Greivance # 15390-11-18, date I wrote grievance: 11-25-18.  Ok, do you all remember in my earlier letter about I had a visit on 11-25-18, the same day I wrote this at that time and before they gave me a wheelchair every time they wanted me to go somewhere but now that I have a visit they refuse to help me and get me a wheel chair or my crutches that I had for two years, that they took away from me.  Now, the warden says “No Emergency” of course.  Now so-stupid counselor Tyler Bradley, on 12-4-18, his answer is “unable to verify”.  What the fuck is he talkin’ about?  How the fuck is it “unable to verify”?  This guy has to be the stupidest person in IDOC.  This is the bullshit answers we all have to put up with!  Just wait until all these get on the internet where you all can read the entire grievance, they’re so pathetic! 



Next grievance will be the last one for now, however I will try to find the money to get them on the net.  I’m going to start with grievances from and and then Lawrence cc, Shawnee cc, Danville cc, and Big Muddy River cc.  And I will promise you all some day I will take a polygraph on all the other prisons I have been to and you will see I have been telling the truth and no one, including director of IDOC Mr John Baldwin, has never helped or even wrote me any kind of letter.  Ok, next grievance is grievance #490-1-19, date of grievance was 1-19-19, I wrote this grievance so many times.  It’s about me sending all my permites and letters from two other nurse practitioners and two other doctors from two other prisons, proving I had these crutches that a woman healthcare took from me.  I mailed all my evidence to Dr Siddigui, Nurse Practitioner Lindsay, Angela O’ain RN she is director of nurses, the head of internal affairs Kelly Pierce, the grievance officer and the warden all evidence went in a 10x13 legal envelope and not one person got back to me or helped me.  I also asked what benefit does it give me to walk on crutches for 2 years?  And the answer is it don’t have any benefit what so ever, wait until you read this whole grievance, the warden of course had answered “Non-emergency” by the warden and the counselor and grievance officer refused to answer with an honest answer.  The bottom line, ladies and gentlemen, is all IDOC staff does is lie to cover up for their co-workers.  Now I filed a whole bunch of grievances that I have not got back yet, but they all were about staff not letting me go to yard, gym, inmate store, church, I did get one back but I sent it out for a second review. 



Because, and only because I wrote all these grievances and they had no choice but to do the right thing.  Because on 4-10-19 I was finally moved to N2-1-43 cell, which I should have and could of been put there the first night I arrived here at menard cc, with my crutches.  See, I was told they took my crutches because they do not allow them here, or canes, walkers, or wheelchairs.  Well, just so you all know, over here, where they moved me, it’s fullof inmates with wheelchairs, crutches, canes, and walkers.  And they get to go to church, yard, gym, and the inmate store.  I only had to go throw everything in this letter and so much more, you will all find out soon enough.  Something you all need to know next is this, I sent this 96 page letter to director John Baldwin and Warden Frank Lawrence of Menard cc to see if they would do the right thing and change things.  However, if you’re reading this you know the answer: I need your help.  This will be all for now, I will ask you all to please check the website once a month for an update.  I will be talking about what is going on with me at menard cc and I also will be talkin’ about the other corrupt prisons I have been to.  And please remember, if there is no update once a month then menard cc either killed me or turned me into a vegetable or they put me in segregation.  That’s the jail inside the prison, and they have refused to let me make a phone call or let me buy pens, paper, and envelopes to write to anyone.  So please help me.  Please don’t let them take away what they have been able to get away with for many, many years.  Now I want to tell you just a few things.  I will be talking about with these other prisons I have been in.  I think you will be very upset your tax dollars go to staff benefits they should not ever get.  Like the following - also I will be explaining all in my upcoming updates ok. At Lawrence cc officers steal everything.  Radios, headphones, batteries, knee braces.  Officers like Brian Livingston was letting his porter steal whatever he wanted from other inmates when they went to segregation.  Also word was from that inmates he gets smokes from Brian Livingston, and Brian Livingston’s wife works there as well.  She was a counselor and answered grievances that were written on her husband - WHAT?  I wrote a grievance on that so warden kink made Mrs Livingston a grievance officer, she could answer all grievances I wrote against everyone, including her own husband.  Now if that’s not breaking some laws.  Health care stole my ace bandages, 3 knee braces, and 2 medical charts out of 3 I had from the last 3 prisons.  All prisons in IL have a picture program where an inmate can buy a coupon from the inmate store.  All prisons sell each coupon for $0.30 to $0.40 for one picture you can take by yourself or with your family when they come for a visit.  Do you have any IDEA how much Mr Kink charged inmates before I filed grievance after grievance and they changed the price?  Mr Kink is a real pathetic warden, he was charging $12.50 for ONE PICTURE.  Is that called price gouging or is it theft?  Maybe he had a car payment to pay, or maybe he bought a new house.  And on top of that he would make inmates families wait until the pictures were taken in the morning in the visiting room before families could come in for their visits.  So Mr Kink making money for himself is more important to hold visiting hours until his staff was done taking pictures!  That’s sick.  Staff chewing tobacco on grounds, and much more coming soon.  Now Shawnee cc, embezzlement is everywhere and I can prove it over and over and over, I promise you. 



How about water waste to start:



There were over 20 showers running 24/7, year round, that’s hot water.  How much water waste is that?  The abuse on the boiler, the electric…  They not only have a full time maintenance department you pay inmate porters $30 to $100 a month, so outside folks that work for you, the state of IL, do not have to so much as pick up a screwdriver.  God forbid they get a little dirt under their nails.  I truly think the world would come to an end if they picked up any kind of tool.  The special food that is bought for the staff from the inmate food budget is so amazing.  How do I know?  Well, many ways, but I would get it from other inmates that would have it given to them by staff.  I was eating like I was at a 5 star joint.  See, all staff at any prison by rules of IDOC, they’re allowed one meal a shift of what the inmate eats, well there is not one prison that follows that rule.  I will bet my life on that.  Ok, now every prison has an INMATE BARBER SHOP - However, I was at Shawnee cc and I had a pass to the Inmate Barber Shop, so I was in the middle of getting my haircut when an officer walked in the INMATE Barber Shop and wanted a haircut.  I was forced to get out of the barber chair so the officer could get his haircut - WHAT.  And when he was done, I was then told to get back in the barber chair, and you know what, that officer did next, he went and sat in another chair, put his feet up - an inmate, you taxpayers pay at least $30 dollars a month for shined that officer’s shoes!  Did you all know you pay for all the items you need to shine shoes like that?  I want to see an officer’s contract when he or she is hired - do they have these things coming?



You all pay for auto parts to fix employee’s cars, you pay to fix it, and parts, and it’s no damn training program.  I’ll prove it to you all soon.  Also the Dog program, all it is is a money maker, and it makes warden Dennison a good man - he is not.  It’s a scam, I will prove it, coming soon.  He is hurting and lying to some of the most important people in the world: our veterans.  Mr Dennison is robbing Peter to pay himself, not PAD.  He steals from all the places he says he is donating money and items for the inmate store.  Again, I proved it so many times in grievances, but of course director John Baldwin did nothing about it.  I sent that man so much evidence.  Donated places are Schools, Veterans, Women and Children, that our abuse, he makes me sick, and you will all feel the same way, I know you will.  Price gouging to cover cost of staff stealing and eating snacks from the inmate store.



I could go on all day about what a piece of work warden Dennison is.  Check the updates, don’t forget.  If I don’t update they killed me, I would never kill myself, number one, it’s a sin and I would not make it to heaven and I’m waiting to see my two brothers, my grandpa, my uncle John, my nephew David, and Timmy.  I have my Grandma, mother, and son who I love so much that I need to be with. 



Ok, let’s talk about Danville cc.  Price gouging at inmate store is huge.  The property officer roy gill steals anything he likes and wants to take home.  If you want a job, the head of internal affairs Mr Campbell and his little sidekick, Mr Gore tell you if you want a job at Danville cc you have to tell on other inmates, which is putting your life in danger.  Mr Campbell is cheating on his wife, that’s why I got put in segregation and transferred and of course I can prove it.  Sorry Mrs Campbell, your husband is a scumbag piece of shit.  You know what is really crazy, that this Mr Gore has a patch on his wall in his office that the president of the Chicago chapter of the Hell’s Angels gave him.  I seen it, and asked him where he got it, and he told me, not only, the man worked for him for the couple of years he was there.  My point is number one you can’t just go to the store and buy that patch, or the internet, and by having that on his wall he is putting people’s lives at stake; either it’s true or not.  Here’s the thing is any real biker knows, if I was a hell’s angel, I would have ripped that patch off the wall and did what I had to do not to let them have it.  So either way you look at it they’re trying to start problems like they enjoy inmates hurting each other?  Price gouging of, you know.  Another thing like at Lawrence cc, you as a new item is forced to either work in the inmate chow hall or you will keep getting tickets if you refuse to work, I can show you my ticket I got for refusing to work.  I said I’m on crutches and you want me to walk around on a tile floor that’s always wet?  Do any of you know what that is like?  It’s like ice!  Try it.  That said, they did not care I had a freakout then I filed grievance after grievance and they finally did the right thing.  I don’t know about other inmates but the justice system of IL and the judge did not sentence me to work for a nickel an hour to get yelled at and disrespected every day for things like not working fast enough.  See that’s part of the problem staff makes inmates there jobs and you, the tax payer, not only pay staff, then you pay inmates, also to do the jobs the staff is already paid to do.



  Ok, let’s talk just for a second about big muddy river cc, and a little guy they hair lip.  He has that little guy attitude, plus I’m pretty sure no one ever loved him.  His name is Nick Nalley.  He is the head of Internal Affairs and he is a real piece of shit, he tried to have ,e killed by inmates, not once, but twice, and, again, I can send, and I will prove it.  You folks that are reading this don’t understand one wrong word you say can get you killed.  A rumor can get you killed.  Telling on someone, even if it’s to save a staff member’s life, if told, will for sure get you killed.  Well, I have to get this out to get copied and mailed to director John Baldwin and Warden Frank Lawrence, along with a few others.  Coming soon.  I will be comparing prices of the inmate vending machines, and the staff vending machines.  I’m talking about in the inmate visiting room.  Like $8.50 for a salad for one person, or 4 of the smallest chicken wings you have ever seen, I promise you, only $6.50!  Do you remember, we are not at a ball game, or at a 5 star restaurant, wait to you here how much staff pays for the same items, and just thing, inmates, loved ones, have to go through so much and now they have to put a second mortgage on their house to come and have lunch with their loved one.  I don’t know about you, but it makes me sick.  Did you know you all pay for dry cleaning?  You have to Love it.  Are all these things in their contracts?  Ok, that’s it for now.  I want the world to know is this; I will take a polygraph and time any place - what I will not do is let a man or woman that works for IDOC and gets paid to manipulate all questions.  Yes or no, so no matter how one answers, the question the machine will say you’re lying.  This is not my first rodeo.  I will do not lie, until next time. 



Hello, this is an addon to the first 97 page letter.  See, I had someone from outside the prison mail a 97 page letter.  In fact, the one you just read.  To director John Baldwin and warden Frank Lawrence of menardcc.  Mr Baldwin, he is the so called ‘Director of IDOC’ is what he is is a pathetic human being.  See, I had that letter mailed to them to see if they would do the right thing and help me, and all inmates, but of course they refused to do anything.  So now, we have put this on the internet and social media, in hopes you all will help.  They both, in face, refused to respond what so ever.  So I will be updating you on how bad things are going on here and all the B.S. all employees are still doing to me.  I’ll also be talking about some of the grievances I have got back from the director of IDOC, John Baldwin, that man deserves to be fired and put in prison himself.  Now I’m still trying to find someone to put all my grievances I have filed on the website, so you can read them, word for word.  They will make you sick what these employees do and get away with.  And it’s only because they’re never held accountable for anything.  We need someone to come here to investigate these staff members and not anyone that works for the state of IL.  That will not help.  IL employees investigate IL employees.  How does that make sense?  We need the federal government to get involved.  So let's get started.  The warden, Frank Lawrence found a way to shut me up.  Yes, to kill me.  Well I’m not going out without a fight.  I will take one for the team.  These inmates do not deserve to be treated like they are.



Ok, here is something really crazy, on 5-5-19, I was forced to file another grievance on the corrupt lazy staff, at least at that ti,e that’s what I thought.  However, now I know it was a brilliant idea orchestrated by the warden Frank Lawrence and his corrupt and very pathetic staff.  Is on 5-2/3/4 and the 5th of may.  The phone was on one gallery where I’m at, however after asking the inmate worker he refused to give it to me so I could call my loved ones.  And I asked 2nd shift as well as first shift officers to help me get the phone and they all said it’s the inmate worker’s job not his.  So I let it go and never got to call my loved ones.  See, a gang leader is in charge of the phones and everything else in N2 House where I live, so I did not want any trouble after the warden, Frank Lawrence, supports all gang activity as well as his staff beinglazy and not doing their job they’re paid to do, by you, the taxpayer. 



Now, on 5-9-19, 4 days after I filed a grievance on staff for not doing their job and making sure all white and mexican guys “inmates” recieved the phone, I started to get threats that I was a dead man and the inmate worker refused to give me my breakfast tray.  On 5-11-19 the phone came back to one gallery where I live, however, two cells had the phones from 4:30 to 10 p.m. Each inmate only gets the phone for a half hour at a time.  Staff refuses to stop gangs and their leaders from doing whatever they want.  It’s very dangerous to all other inmates and staff.  Inmates are only going to put up with so much before they blow up.  That’s why there’s riots between blacks and whites, and blacks and mexicans, and the good staff members that do not support the gang leaders and members, they get hurt.  And it’s all because warden Frank Lawrence supports them because he has no control anyone or anything in menard cc. 



Now on 5-15-19 the inmate gang leader let them same two cells have the phone and I snapped.  I asked the officer to let me use the phone and he said it was not his job so at that time I called the inmate worker/gang leader every name I could think of and he did get me the phone right away.  But I know he put a hit out on me because he is a coward and he is making his gang members do his dirty work and when a leader of a h tells his guys to do something it gets done, end of story.  So now my life is in danger, no matter where I go in this prison.  I know it was a well thought out plan by the warden and his staff because I filed grievances and complaints on the corrupt staff.  Also a 97 page letter.  The first 97 pages you all just read was sent to the warden Frank Lawrence and the director of IDOC, John Baldwin from the outside world on 5-4-19 and there were both told they had to weeks to respond to the letter if they wanted to and that response would be put at the end of this letter.  But, as you see, they just do not care.  Please don’t let them kill me and get away with it, and please help the inmates here along with their loved ones.  Please, no one deserves these things.  Now, I would like to talk about this very, very, very pathetic, corrupt woman.  She is the officer coordinator for the grievance office.  Her job is to protect all staff at all costs.  For example, I filed 12 grievances and sent them all in at the same time and the first time she sent them all back for no reason.  So I mailed them back to her and she threw all of them away.  I’m going to tell you real quick what they were all about, but I will be putting all the 100+ grievances I have filed here at menard cc on the website soon, so you can read them word for word.

I wrote a grievance on the grievance office coordinator Cheryl A. Nanney, she is the one that throws everybody’s grievances away.  She needs to be put in prison.  Because of her, inmates suffer, get hurt, raped, robbed; all because she will do whatever it takes to protect the prison and her co-workers.  Make her take a polygraph, I bet she fails it.  How proud of her her family should be…





They have a medical hold on me.  How the hell does that make sense?  They won’t fix my knee, back, head, nothin’.  They took my crutches from me, remember.  I did three months in segregation and slept 20 days on the floor and they have a medical hold on me?  Maybe they get paid more money that way?  It’s the only thing that makes sense.





Since Nov 25, 2018 they have refused to give me 5 medications that two other doctors at two other prisons gave me; vitamin D, oyster pill, blood pressure/water pill, clariton, and a thyroid pill.





Nurse practitioner Zimmerman took my two ace bandages away from me, she stoled them, I paid ten dollars from healthcare for them and she refused to let me send them home.  But here’s the thing, when I got to menard cc the3 property officer goes through all new inmates’ items and takes out everything you cannot have.  They know 100% of all things you can and can’t have and they let me have them.  I went through many orange crush shakedowns and normal shakedowns of my cell and no officer ever took them.  It’s called Retaliation, because I have filed many grievances on healthcare.  She is a super pathetic nurse, she really has no business taking care of anything.





Warden Lawrence to stop taking money from the inmate food budget to buy himself and his staff special food for themselves, and o’boy I an prove it.





You can buy coupons at the inmates food store for pictures, you can buy 3 coupons and when you go on a visit you can take one picture and not only do you have to send them out of prison, you get 3 duplicate pictures.  WHY, I ask.  Also Menard cc does not allow an inmate to have any duplicate pictures?  I can prove that.  One time my grandma that is 98 years old sent me duplicate pictures of herself on her 98 year old birthday: it was a picture of her holding her birthday cake and I could not have them, but yet Menard cc gives you 3 copies of the same picture and makes you send them home.  I’M SO CONFUSED - ARE YOU?





 Ok, now I’m going to talk about grievances that I wrote that the Warden Frank Lawrence don’t care about and refuses to help, along with all the counselors here, like Mr Bradley, Mr Carter, Mrs Hood, and all the others as well as all the grievance officers.  They’re all liars, I can and will prove it.  Ask them to take a polygraph, they will refuse.  I won’t.  I will take one on everything, I tell you folks.  There are grievances I got back from all the above and then I sent them to the administrative review board in springfield.  That’s John Baldwin’s job, you know, the director of IDOC.  So I will explain a little about each one.  These re only a few I got back, I’m still missing around 50 grievances from the staff here at menard cc.  These people are so corrupt, it’s very sad.  One thing, before we get started here is some corrupt stuff.  I was just talking about the warden Frank Lawrence supporting gang activity because he lets the gang leaders sell money vouchers, grievance forms, and the phone.  I just got the grievances back.  Number 59-5-19 about the gang leader running the phones, etc.  Now the warden said it’s not an emergency, sent it back to me so I sent it to the counselor for their answer and a counselor H. Price cc # answered my grievance and it states this “Per assistant Warden Wills, No offender grievance that uses demeaning, derogatory, sexist remarks.  To describe any person of menardd cc will be answered when appropriate language is used grievance will be addressed.”



Now let me address that answer: well, the head warden answered the grievance by stating it was NOT AN EMERGENCY also I have at least 20 grievances returned to me talking the exact way I talk in this grievance.  It appears to me, instead of fixing the problem, Mr. Antony Will, assistant warden also supports gang activity.  He also lied in a letter he wrote me in the letter he stated that all grievances are answered in the order they are received.  Which is a huge lie.  And of course I can prove that.  You all want to hear something crazy?  Mr. Antony Wills was the ADA coordinator, which he had no idea how to help the handicapped and disabled inmates.  However, he knows how to lie and support his boss, which is Warden Frank Lawrence.  Crazy corruption by staff of course I can and will prove everything I say in these letters.  Now, do you all remember when I told you all how a grievance form worked?  Well you write the problem and in another spot on the form says “Relief Requested”, well I wrote staff to do their job, stop letting gang members run this prison, stop supporting gang activity, bring me the phone so I can call my loved ones and stop putting my life in danger.  So instead of helping ,e and a lot of other inmates, he lies and sends my grievances back, with no help at all.



Now we all know why he was promoted from the ADA coordinator to the assistant warden.  I don’t know about you all but I call that very corrupt and pathetic.  Ok, now let’s talk about a few of those grievances I got back from the director of IDOC Mr John Baldwin.



1. Grievance # 254-3-19.  I wrote this grievance on 3-16-19, it was about 25 grievances the grievance officer refuse to send them to me with an answer.  John Baldwin’s answer to me is this “provide your original written offender’s grievance”.  Now, when you send a grievance in to get help, if they don’t send it back to me, how in the hell am I supposed to send them to Mr John Baldwin?  That’s what this grievance is about - My MISSING grievance.  That’s the kind of bullshit answers an inmate deals with.  Now another thing, they said original written grievance, ok here at menard, if you’re lucky enough to get a grievance back from the grievance office your original grievance you file, they make a copy and send you only the copy back.  So when you send it to springfield to director John Baldwin, he can refuse it because it’s a copy.  Pathetic right?  Then their response also states on their answer to this grievance is “No justification provided for additional consideration.”  Now, to date, I still have not recieved them 25 missing grievances.  To date, I have filed right around 100 grievances and I have received maybe 30 back, maybe.  And they’re all on the corrupt stuff.  Here’s another one.



2.I wrote this grievance on 1-19-19.  Grievance # 497-1-19.  Health care’s Angela Crain, the nursing director tells me menard cc lost all 3 of my medical files.  One of those medical files contained my outside of prison medical file, since I was a little kid.  Now I wrote and wrote and wrote to Angela Crain, director of Nurses, Dr. Siddigui, the faculty medical director and Lindsey the nurse practitioner and asked them if I could have a medical CD sent in from the company that owns my medical records and they all refused to answer me.  So I filed a grievance and of course the warden checked the box “Non-emergency” and signed it.  And then I sent it to the grievance office and they said it was a request and sent it back to me, then I sent it to Director John Baldwin and they wrote this “no justification provided for additional consideration.  Now instead of answering my question, they instead want to waste tons of money on paper, ink, people’s time - which means higher taxes, photo copy machines, envelopes, all kinds of money waste - when staff could have said Yes or No.  It seems pretty silly to me, but that’s the great director John Baldwin and warden Frank Lawrence. 



Ok, here’s another one I filed.  I filed three grievances on this with no help.  I did get 2 grievances back, I have not got the 3rd one back yet.  On 12/14/18 I filed a grievance.  Grievance #289-12-18.  On the grievance I talk about a few things, one is the fact that I had not had my 5 medications I was missing my claritin, vitamin D, oyster pill, water pill, and my thyroid pill.  Now keep in mind their pills all come in a 30 day supply.  Now the date the grievance officer Kelly Pierce made her report was on 12-20-2018 so at that time I had been without them 5 medications for 17 days.  Ok, this Kelly Pierce denied my grievance and she refused to help me even know she wrote on or in her report I have not had these 5 medications since 11-3-2018.  Do the math, someone.  So, Kelly Pierce, grievance officer stated my grievance was moot, and on 1-18-19, the warden agreed with her and checked the box that says “I concur” and signed it.  And John Baldwin, the director of IDOC answered the grievance and said two things: “No Justification Provided for additional consideration.” also the administrative review board received the appeal 30 days past date of chief administrative officer’s decision, therefore this issue will not be addressed further.  See the warden Frank Lawrence and the grievance office are great at holding on to the grievance well past the 30 day time limit.  Pretty damn pathetic to cover up the torture by staff.  Also in Kelly Pierce’s grievance report she filed, it states this: grievance office reviewed on 12-20-2018 - prior to receiving this grievance, the offender (me) placed the grievance in the counselor’s mail box.  The offender (me) was returned the grievance and advised to follow proper procedure and place the grievance in the grievance box so that it may be processed accordingly.  Ok, about that stupid statement; number 1: all mail is picked up by the staff, if they’re not smart enough to [ut all mail where it goes, perhaps there should be a better system.  Also, at the time I wrote this grievance, I was in segregation because I did not want to sleep on the floor anymore and they refused to give me my crutches, so ask Mrs Kelly Pierce just how in the hell would I leave my cell and go find any mailbox to put anything in.  How in the hell does her statement make any sense?  It don’t.  I often wonder who is smarter, IDOC staff or the paint on my wall?  I’m thinking the paint, what do you think?  Now I have been out of those medications since 12-3-2018 until 3 denied grievances from the director, Baldwin, the warden, Lawrence, grievance officers, and counselor, and healthcare staff until 5-24-19 after one last letter I wrote, and I recived my thyoid pill, water pill, vitamin d pill, and oyster pill.  Finally, I still don’t have my clartan, do the math.  Deny, deny, deny.  All the bullshit I had to go through, all the money IDOC staff wasted, for what?  To teach me who’s boss, to teach me not to file grievances when I’m right, because it still won’t help due to corrupt, pathetic staff, of John Baldwin’s staff, for the director of IDOC, he sure is one pathetic person.  The next one is about a few things, like the cockroaches that are bigger than mice, and the low temperature sleeping on the floor, and my hearing.  Now this is how director John Baldwin answered this grievance; first he states on 2-14-19 offender in process of determining if vibrating watch is necessary.  And today’s date is 5-28-19, I’m 100 percent deaf in my left ear and 70% deaf in my right ear.  Maybe I have to be 100% deaf in both ears?  And it states they put a hard of hearing placard placed on my cell, well they did do that, however, it’s maybe 1½ inches wide by 3 inches long, and placed 7 to 8 feet in the air above the door, and not one person that comes to my cell sees it, I get yelled at and threatened every day because I can’t hear staff.  You know what they said about me sleeping on the floor?  “Offender provided bed roll and mattress”.  The bedroll was two nasty sheets and a pillow case, no blanket.  They said they ran out Nov 7th 2018, middle of winter and no blanket, and I was made to sleep on the floor.  Exterminating services are conducted monthly.  Well, at least they admit they have a major cockroach problem.  And last, but not least, they state cell house temperatures are recorded multiple times a day to ensure proper temperature control.  I say bullshit, I have been in east house, west house, and noth house, and since nov 7th 2018 until 5-28-19, today’s date, never one time was any kind of heat ever turned on, never.



This next grievance I filed was on staff, of course, see I got a feed in the cell permit because they refused to give me my crutches that I had for two years, or a wheel chair so I could go to chow hall and eat, so the staff is to bring me my food and drink.  Instead they let the gang members bring me my food and drink, but the problem was they would always keep the dessert and juices so they would make booze to get drunk, and all staff is ok with that.  Even the warden and director of IDOC.  Here’s the director’s answer; Grievance Denied, per cell house major staff monitor workers, to ensure trays are issued accordingly.  Staff misconduct cannot be substantiated.  Who saw that coming? LOL.  They are such liars.  It’s time to move on, I’m not rich folks.  But I will find the money to have all 100+ grievances scanned and put on this website so you all will get a much better idea of all their lies.

Now here are some more things that will make an inmate go insane.  I bought a TV at Lawrence cc on 7-7-18, serial number 0385, Seal# 0167-0168 Model - CT-1590.  Well, the TV has a 1 year warranty, well it’s 4-17-19, I’m at menard CC and I had to buy another TV because the one I bought at lawrence cc broke, the on/off button would not work.  I wrote, and wrote, and wrote to the property room, to the inmate store, then I get a grievance form that I have to buy from an inmate worker, and I filed that grievance.  I got it back with IDOC’s best answer from all staff members, which is this:

“Cannot Substantiate Allegations From Offender”.  Now, folks, I not only have the broken TV, I have the receipt, and contract for the TV I bought less than a year ago, at Lawrence CC.  You know, the one that has a One Year Warranty?  The Menardcc staff stole $225,000 of my 79 year old mother’s money.  Scum bags!  See, staff has a hard time not stealing and breaking inmate’s property, and it’s because they never ever never are held accountable for anything.



Here’s another one.  R. Naugle from the publications review board wrote me a letter about books I ordered, she states they’re in review.  Well, how long does that take?  I have wrote, and wrote with no help - I’m still waiting for one book from Larence cc that they refuse to give me.  I not only have the receipt for the book and the letter from the mailroom at Lawrence cc dated 7-6-18 that the book corruption officer was sent to the publications review committee.  That was on 7-6-18, today is 5-30-19.  How long does it take to review the book?  There is a scumbag ℅ Brian Livingston at Lawrence cc, stole my am/fm radio, a 4-pack of AAA batteries, and a set of headphones.  Healthcare at Lawrence cc stole all three of my knee braces at five dollars each.  Here at Menard cc a ℅ after I filled out grievances on the west house Major Rathke shook my cell down and took my reading glasses, and then Mr Rathke had a healthcare staff member take my two ace bandages for no reason.  Altogether that’s another $15.00 they stole from me.  I say give me a polygraph, you cowards!  I am so sick of their lying, they make me sick.  The segregation property room, which one of the top ranking gang member works and runs, was, and is, allowed to steal inmate’s property when they go to segregation.  While the staff that works back there, like do white, sit in the backroom, and does lord knows what with co-workers.  This inmate steals what he wants.  Like my book, walkman, bob segar cassette tape, and about 150 to 200 pictures.  And I filed a grievance and the counselor stated my items were confiscated, which don’t
